CLEARING SALE.
On Wednesday we held a clearing sale of dairy stock on behalf of Mr Macdougall, at Pongakawa. There was a large attendance of buyers and a keen demand, bidding being keen throughout. Everything was quitted, the bulk of the cattle going l toWhakatane. One hundred cows were offered, the prices realised being as follows Choice cows in milk, £12 5s to £15, medium do £8 to £10, unsound sgns to 6gns, store cows £4155, calves 12s 6d ; bulls £4 to £5.
