DEPARTMENT ANXIOUS TO COMMENCE OPERATIONS. Mr Robert. Brownlee, who is acting as secretary in connection with the Workers' Dwellings scheme, is in receipt of a communication from, the Labor Department, which reads as follow: " Will you please let me have your opinion as to whether the persons who hove applied for these dwellings are anxious to proceed, as before tenders can be invited the architect Inquires more information. The whole of the deposits must also be forwarded. We would like to make a start at once, otherwise the matter may be delayed for another indefinite period."
