PAENGAROA-ROTORUA ROAD

At the last meeting of the County Council a petition, signed by Mr A. Waldrom and ten other settlers residing on the Rotorua— south of Paengaroa-and Graham Roads was received. The petitioners drew attention to the unsatisfactory state of the Rotorua Road between Paengaroa Junction and Graham Road and they requested the Council to take immediate steps to put same in repair. They pointed out that although there are many ratepayers using the road to cart cream and milk, and a lot of through traffic, there has practically been nothing done on this portion of tho road for years. The .MincrvHor suggested that the fern and ti-trce should be clc.itvd frail the sides of the road that the traffic could take the sides.

Cr. Matthews n-oved—That the be instructed to clear and level the* eastern side of the road.

The motion was seconded by Cr, Grilfin and carried.
