RAILWAY GOODS SHEDS.

We are glad to see that the Te Puke Farmers' Union intend losing no time in endeavouring to have the dimensions of the proposed local railway goods shed, considerably increased, and provision piade for the erection of a at ihe Mount. Not only was ja resolution' passed at the meeting on Saturday that an urgent, wire be sent to the Ministe: of Public Works on tin mat'ip. but Mr H. J. Gill was authorised to visit I Auckland and place full particulars before the Prime Minister. It was generally considered that the present and future requirements of the district had been woefully underestimated and that a shed double the size of that defined on- the plan would be I needed. The Union deserves the thanks of the settlers for its prompt action, and it is to be hoped that its representations will have the desired effect.
