A SUFFRAGETTE CHASED.
FIRE-RAISERS AT WORK AGAIN. London, May 31. A crowd of 6,000 at Leicester roughly treated a suffragette, who eventually escaped in a taxi-cab.
A box, full of oil-soaked cotton wool, was found at the foot of the steps of the Royal Academy. It was surrounded by burning wax tapers. MrsPankhurst has been released from prison. She was removed in an ambulance, and, though her condition is serious, she is less prostrate than on the last occasion.
