FIRE IN A PRISON.
FRANTIC WOMEN CONVICTS. New York, April 13. Convicts at Lansing, Kansas, set fire to the prison buildings in an endeavor to escape. Women criminal lunatics became frantic at the sight, and fought warders. They had to be forcibly dragged out of their 'cells, and removed elsewhere. Six hundred convicts acted as firemen. Many were injured, and the prison was partially destroyed.
