THE RUNAWAY AIRSHIP
GERMANY CHAGRINED DISCLOSURE'OF SECRETS Paris, March 6. The German Government has thanked Prance for her courtsey towards the crew of the Zeppelin, which drifted over the frontier and landed in Luneville. The newspapers publish conflicting stories of French action, ranging from a mere police visit to an exhaustive expert investigation. The " Lokal Anzeiger" alleges that the airship was fired on at the altitude of J.,000 yards. Only the resoluteness of the French troops prevented the mob wrecking the vessel. .The "Taglische Rankschau," declares that Franca, might as well keep the vessel as her model. It regrets that the officers failed to blow up the craft before landing. Some papers demand a court martial. Other papers comment on Germany's ill-fortune in dropping the newest .type of Zeppelin during her trial trip, thus giving France the opportunity to examine the appliances and secret methods. The airship is now at Metz. ■ It is officially reputed that the commisionary at Luneville merely boarded the airship to inquire as to the possibility of espionage., In other aspects the airship was treated as if she was on German soil.
