QUEER CARDS.

Mr W. B. Harvey, the New Zealand agent for the "World Publishing Company, is now in Auckland, engaged in pushing. a great medical work, entitled ' ' The Practical Home Physician." This now famous guide, which is a whole faculty in itself, is the production of four eminent physicians, who received £11,000 for their services. Of the first edition 140,000 corjies were sold; second and third, each £100,000. Tho edition which Mr Harvey is now receiving subscribers for will be the fourth, and copies will be in Auckland ready for distribution by May or June. In the South Island alone, 6000 copies were subscribed for. The work is a magnificent production of medical skill, is finely and practically illustrated, with an excellent synopsis and full index. It is recommended by Dr Maunsell, of Dunedin, Dr Dawson, Dr Philson, and other New Zealand as well as Australian physicians and surgeons. Among many distinguished men who are subscribers for the work are Dr Bingham Crowther, London, Dr Andrew Clark, Sir William Grull, and others. After a glance at the contents of this great work, we can confidently recommend it, epecially to families. It will save all doctor's bills.
