MEASLES.
The spread of measles is becoming alarming. Like the poor, they are always with us. Being no respeetor of persons, they have had the audacity to invade the house of the Great Bashaw. Even policemen who can't catch, anything else, catch the measles easily enough without the aid of handcuffs. The other day a mother, whose young hopeful was recovering from a severe attack, forced him to play in the open air. She said it was a grand thing to harden him, and take the limpness out of his system. The experiment exceeded her expectations. He is now " stiff "in tlie Symonds-street Cemetery. Pact.
