"Are you coming," are you coming, to our Motor Reel Bazaar? In fancy wa can hear you say, we're coming yes we are, And will gladly give assistance for we cannot help but feel, Tho Fire Brigadfo deserve to get a first-class Motor Reel.
Though we're absent-minded beggars, we would rather b?<j than steal, For we really want to^ help the fund, to buy a Motor 'Reel. And so w'a ask your kindly help, please listen to our call, And sund along' a little oash to stock our Lollks Stall.
So writes an enthusiastic worker, and as the same spirit is possessed by everyone interested, it can easily be undierstood that when the bazaar is opened on Thursday next (May 4th) at the Albert .St. Drill Hall, the public will witness one of the most successful functions of its kind yet held oi' dreamt of at Tiname.s and have the pleasure of assisting 1 a most worthy object. The cookery competitions, particulars of which appear in our advertisingl columns, are enticing 1 as really good prizes are to be' given. The younger gjanieration will be proviided with any amoiutnt of diversion in the nature of nail drivingl (ladies), hat trimmingl (gentlemen), wood-saw-ing", shooting competitions, eta, etc. The stalls also promise to be on a much more extensive scale than anything! yeifc attempted;. In this connocjtion donors are asked to kindly leave gifts' at the drill hall not later than Thursday momintf at 11 o'clock. On the opening night the famous Da.rktown Brigade will give a unique display during the torchlight procession prior to the opening 1. Throughout, the proceedings will hie enlivened \ by selections by the Champion Biand. TlTe firemen and their willingl assistants have worked soi diligently and well that it only remains for tho public to accord its patronage in a liberal manner for the acquisition of the motor relels to bie assured.
