TIMARU, April 24. An inquest uin. the body of J. G-rim-shaw, clrowne'd in the liiaiibbur on Saturday night, Was held this morning. Thei evidence siiowed that the steamer Klgatoro wasi about to pull out of tho wharf when the deceased, who was a seamen, despite warning jumped from the wharf to board her. He misaodl tha vessel and fell between the vessel and the wharf. He waa picked up at orce, bmt life was extinct. It was shown that the mam had struck hi.s head heavily eitJier against the wharf or the vtessel.

A vci-dict of .idcidental death "was returned.
