The result of the oorouial inquiry into tho oircumstancies surrounding the death of John Freeman, whose muidered remains were found in the Puhipuhi bush on Tliur.sK.lay last, the jury returned a vsidSiot after a short adjournment ''Tha* John Freeman came to his death on or about 1 lie sth of April a,t Puhipuhi by blow's en the head inflicted by Taiki K;<ka with a stick or otlier weapon.' 1
The coroner s«id the verdict was tantamount to one of wilful imirdtar.
