BOROU r'TT COUNCIL.
For the nine vacancies on {ho Council eleven candidates ha,ve been n&minaitedl, nccesisit'ating an election, while Jfcsiio .".. Law and J. McLaton worj nominated as candidates' for tho representation of the County Couni'l on the Harbour Beard. As only one representative is required an election will to held. The polling takes place to-morrow. Following are the candidate : THE COUNCIL. For the nine vacancies eleven nominations werte received, as follows: — Mfassrs W. H. Lucasi, 'Geo 1. Warne, F. H. Oaxton, E. D'eeble, J. R|owe (-sitting; councillors), Dl*. Liap-raik, W. J. MbCormick, G. Horruo, Arthur Rao, Wm. Simmonds, and G. Oi-i'bb, ji-. Of the last Council Messrs W. Slctoit, W. Taylor, Gea. Comer, and El V. Tiimfetill do not seiek re-election. HAiRiBOUR BOIAEiDI - Foi' the County (onei member) Messrs 18. Lkuw and J. McLaren wwj nominatedl, and the election 'will take place next Wednesday. The places of polling! will ba found in another part of this issiue. Mr Ri. H. Ellis is the Returning Officier for the Borough, while Mr W. Hi. Potts is the Returning O'ffieeir for the County
