NAPIER.
This day. A man named John Fitzgerald was killed yesterday at Havelock, while driving three horses in a dray loaded with gravel. He was seated on the top of the load with the reins fastened to the shaft, when the horses suddenly bolted. The deceased jumped down, but fell on the shaft and rolled on to the ground, the wheels passing over him and killing him instantly.
