Yesterday.

Imjpebial.—- The reef in the drive not having shown much improvement, preparations have been made to sink at a point some 20ft from the mouth of the drive, where colors of gold were sopn. The reef is about 3ft wide here, and it is anticipated that payable ore will be obtained.

ICeniiwokth.—Qusrfz of a very promising description is coming to hand from the stopes above the low level and the rise above the intermediate, in which occasional colors of gold are observad.

Bo'S.—The men have resumed driving northward on the reef at the low level, where the quartz looks pretty well; and the manager is sanguine of meeting with the shot of gold worked in the intermediate level very shortly. Scotia.—A parcel of quartz from this mine is being put through the battery, but it is not shaping up to expectations. However, another lot is being forwarded for treatment, which it is anticipated will yield much better. Ceown.—The quarf? being obtained from the slopes in progress above the low level lookß well, and shows good colors of gold.
