SERVIAN-BULGARIAN WAR.

Sofia, November 17. Despatches from the western frontier districts announce that the Servian army is advancing upon this city. Prince Alexander has received from the Sultan a reply to his request for aid. The Porte declines to assist Bulgaria, and points out Alexander's violation of the Treaty of Berlin, which encouraged the Servians to invade Bulgaria.
(Beceived November 18,1.45 pm.) Belgbade, November 17. Advices from the Servian army in Bulgaria state that the troop 3 have gained a number of victories over the Bulgarians. Yesterday a force of Bulgarians was totally routed, and the town of Trn taken on the north-western frontier; an engagement was fought, and three of the Bulgarian volunteer battalions stationed on Timsk surrendered. A battle also took the place yesterday between Koula and Wedden, tho Bulgarians being defeated with great loss, upwards of one thousand prisoners being taken by the Servians.
