OUR MINES.

The crushing of the specimens which h»ve come to hand since last retorting— l,3oolbs—was commenced with the single stamper at the Prince Imperial battery yesterday, but as only about half tho amount was reduced, the remainder is being treated to-day. As the cleaning up otnnot therefore take place until a late hour, retorting will Hot eventuate until tomorrow. ' REUBEN PABB. A reef has been cut in the winze now being sunk, haying come in from the ■onthward, but it has not ye.t been penetrated, although about 3ft. of quartz have been passed through. Good blotches and colors of gold were seen in the stone, which the manager thinks should be payable crushing dirt.

NEW PRINCE IMPERIAL. - The reef in the stopes above the intermediate level looks well, and about 251bs of specimens were secured from here yesterday at the junction of the hangingwall and footwall branches of No. 1 lode. The manager reports for the past week as follows:—" The No. 4 reef in the ■topes above No. 5 level continues to look much the same, and is still producing fair grade crushing dirt. A start _was made on Friday on this level to continue the drive on No. 1 reef, in order to connect with the winze which is now in procress from the intermediate level. There will be about 150 ft. to drive, but as the ground is pretty favorable for working, Jjood headway should be made. This drive will only be on the footwall of the reef, which should junction with the hang" ingwall branch in about 60ft. As it is from the junction eastward that we are getting the good crushing dirt on the intermediate level, I do not anticipate meeting with anything of importance until that point is reached. There are only four men employed here, but three shifts will be started to-morrow night; The winze fr«n the intermediate drive below No. 4 ltvel is down 50ft. The reef and country liffl look very well. No gold was seen at last breaking down, but the same favorable indications as previously still exist in the stone. Work in the intermediate drive has been it a standstill for the last two or three days, to allow the leading stope to be brought along, as the air in the face was getting very light. The stopes here are ■till contributing good crashing dirt.—G. S.Clxbk."

GOLD RETURNS. Moanataibi—A crushing for Catrah and party, tributers, produced 13ozs 3dwts retorted gold.
