The amendment moved by Mr Burns to the Address-in-Reply censuring the Government for not calling Parliament together at an earlier date, was rejected last night by a majority of 51 to 18. '
The Cabinet has decided to join New Zealand in subsidising the San Francisco Mail Service. Tug ainqunt to be paid by New South Wales will be £7000 per auuum.
