Sydney, Yesterday. News is to hand from Moresby Island of an outrage committed by returned Island laborers. It is reported that two white men were attacked and killed by some natives, who had recently returned to the, Island from Australia. Melbotjbnjs, Yesterday. The second reading of the Licensing Amendment Bill was carried in the Legislative Assembly last night without a division. A meeting of the creditors of Luke, Williams and Co. was held yesterday, when debts were proved amounting to £150,000. The National Bank of Australasia is a creditor for £60,000, and James Henty and Co. for £45,000. The Hotham Bank RolrteryRobinson was brought up at the Police. Court to-day and charged with the robbery from the Hotham Bank. He was remanded for a week, in order that the evidence mny be arranged.
