The Daily Telegraph urges the establishment of more coaling stations in the Pacific. Prof. J. Wordsworth, M.A., of Oriel College, Oxford, has been appointed Bishop of Salisbury. New South Wales considers the proposal mado by the postal authorities for the establishment of a parcels post system with Australia is premature. The Hon. Mr Stanley, Secretary of State for the Colonies, has addressed a circular despatch to the Governors of the several Australian colonies, in which he commends the Federation Enabling Act. The Crown colonies of Western Australia and Fiji have applied for permission to appoint delegates to the Federal Council.
