AUCKLAND.
This day. The Eecbabite jubilee was celebrated : with great yesterday. The reports submitted showed the membership to be : 453 adults, 120 juveniles, and 17 boo. members. The amount to credit was £4990. Congratulatory messages were sent to the Australian colonies. The banquet last evening was attended by 140 persons, and conspicuous among the decor* ations was the banner of the Star of Hauraki Tent, Thames. A public meeting in connection with the jubilee will be held, this evening, the Mayor presiding, and addresses by Professor Tucker, JE. C. Carr, and others will be delivered. The Harbor Board refused to remit wharfage on LaMonte's plant and machinery. Visitors who hare relumed from the Exhibition at Wellington speak highly of the display of industries, and mention that the case of paints from the Thames Hematite Company was much admired. The Wairarapa brought yesterday 75 pieces of machinery for the Smelting Co.
