The stopes on No. 1 reef westward of the j break below No. 4 level are still con* tinning to produce a fair amount of good payable dirt. The hang- j ingwall and footwall portions of this reef, which have been driven on separately going eastward, have'now come together, j so that both branches of the reef can be taken now in the odo drive. There is about 3ft of crushing dirt being broken out from here, which looks very promising, but no gold has been seen lately. At No. 3 level two men are employed driving on the hangingwail lead, which is a mass of stringers, most of m hich show a little gold.- G. S. Ciabk." NEW NORTH STAR.
