Wellington, Yesterday. The Colonial Secretary promised to consider the law in reference to destitute persons, with the view of providing that wives possessed of property in their own rif<ht might be compelled to contribute towards the support of their* husbands when necessary. : The debate on the Address-in-Eeply was resumed, and the motion carried, when the Council adjourned until to* merrow.
