This day. In the Queenstown poaching cases, ranger Pennefather, and Mr Tanner, soli citor, were each fined 20s and costs, for poaching. The charge of assault, brought by them against Constable Young, was dismissed, with costs.
The Customs' duties on teas, sugars, tobacco, kerosene, and rice this week amounted to over £20,000.
