The following amendments have been made in the recently-issued telephone rates:—The rates already published are for connection with telephone exchange of warehouse stores, shops, or place's where any profession is carried on, not more than one mile from the exchange, and of private residences not more thau one mile from the exchange.
The telegraph authorities are arranging for a cable-repairing steamer to come to New Zealand.
