THAMES-TE AROHA RAILWAY.
TENDERS TO BE CALLED FOE.
During his visit here, the Hon.*W. J. M. Larnach sent a telegram to the Public Works Minister, asking him when tenders would be called for the construction of the railway line beyond Kopu. This step was taken at the solicitation of Mr W. Praser, M.H.E., and yesterday Mr Larnach telegraphed from Paeroa to our member:—"ln reply to my message of today, the Hon. Minister for Public Works wires me the following: • Have fixed date for tenders extension beyond Kppu, fifteenth July,' I.hope this will be. satisfactory to your district.—(Signed) W J, M. Labsach." This information is very gratifying, and praise is duo to our representatives, and others who have been instrumental in pushing this work on, for their efforts, which have at last procured what the district was long ago entitled to. Mr Larnach has shown a worthy appreciation of the exigencies of our case, and apparently a grasp of the material wants of the field.
