The Funeral.
The funeral took place at about 215 o'clock this afternoon, the corteftd leaving Mr Colhoun's late residence; and was one of the largest gatherings which.hare assembled on the Thames to pay their last tribute of respect to one who was beloved by all those who knew him. The procession was headed by about 80 Freemasons from tho ?arious Lodges; and immediately after the hearse were the following pall-bearers :—Lodge of Light, Bros. Comer and Panby; Sir Walter Scott Lodge s Bros. Turtle and E. Harrison ; and Corinthian Lodge : Bros. 0. Hill and B. Wolff; the chief mourners and private carriages coming next, 'fbllowed by nearly two hundred school children, while there must have been fully 20t> citizens on foot. Besides these, however, the streets were thronged with spectators, a largenumber of whom followed the procession to the cemetery. The public display of sympathy shown testifies eloquently to the estimation in which the deceased was held.
