Mr Cleveland has issued General Grant's commission as general on the re* tired list. His pay and emolument will amount to 15,000, dollars annually. General Grant's condition does not improve, and it is thought death may ensue in a month. The general's moat alarming symptom is an inability to retain' food. Hit body is wasting away, and bis teeth are nearly all gone, several having been drawn so as to relieve the intense neuralgic pains originating from the cancer.
