The Governments of Victoria and South Australia have endorsed the circular sent out by Mr Dalley in regard to the joint responsibility of the Colonies for injuries infficted by hostile cruisers.

Sydney, Yesterday. Sailed : The s.s Hauroto, for Welling" ton, this afternoon.

Inquiries have been made of all the incoming vessels regarding the missing boat's crew of the Nightingale, but up to the present no trace has been found of the boat or her occupants. The fitting up and arming of the Peninsular and Orient Co.'s Massilia as a cruiser has been completed. She sailed today from this port on her first cruise.
