The Standard considers that the Queensland and Victorian loans just announced will hardly be felt in the present condition of the money market.
Earl Granville has thanked Mr J. B. Thurston. the Colonial Secretary of Fiji, for his services in connection with the recent Commission of Enquiry into the German land claims in that island.
