, • ' .Auckland, Yesterday. The twelve hours' walking match between Bayner and McCune is ended— Bayner, 64 miles 16 laps; McOnne, 61 miles 22 laps. McCune entered a protest against Bayner for alleged breaking. Chbistchubch, Last night. , Swan finished his walk at the Drill Shed at 11.30 last night, havitsg covered 484 xnile« and 283 yards in 143| hours. The score for the six local men was 479 miles —McGrath 70, Anderson 71, Cox 85, McCourt 65, Mathoson 95,andCusack92. The attendance of spectators throughout the contest, except last night, was not very good. Subscriptions made for Swan realised £10, which Jar Arans, starter, supplemented with another £10. , ■
