ATHLETIC SPORTS.
At the Amateur Athletic Sports there were 3000 spectators. The 10-mile Bicycle Championship of New Zealand was won by X A. Stewart, .R. Fiewellen 2, and J. Fitton 3. Time, 40mins 21secs. In the 3imile Bicycle Race, there was an exciting finish between the champion and Ashton, the latter winning by 5 yards, in ilmins 46secs.
