Customs Revenue.

Wellington, This day. The Customs revenue collected in the colony for March amounted to £137,302, as against £115,799 for the corresponding month last year. The amounts collected at the princfj&l' ports last month were : — Auckland, £28,524; Wellington, £25,298; Lyttelton and Christchurch, £22,672; Dunedin, £37,812. The total amount of Customs revenue collected for the year is £1,413,937, being a surplus of £38,937 over the Colonial Treasurer's estimate. The beer duty collected last month was. £4919, while for March, 1884, it was £4742. The amounts paid by the principal centres were—Auckland, £-1113 ; Wellington, £419 ; Christchurch, £901; Dunedin, £1130. For the year the total was £55,714, showing a surplus of £714 over the estimate. In each case shillings and pence are omitted.
