The monthly clearances of sugar include 900 tons for Port Chalmers, and 300 for, Wellington. Freights :~To Australia, 10s to 15s; to New Zealand, 265; exchange 60 daya. Bank credits : New Zealand, 18 per cent; Australia, 19| per cent. The stock of sugar on hand is 37,000 tons. The exports to New Zealand this season amount to 600 tons.
