OUR MINES.

CAMBRIA. The following report was forwarded by the manager yesterday:—" The eastern drive is in a distance of 134 ft from the winze; the reef in the face of the drive is 9ft in thickness, and still cotinues to look well, dabs and colors of gold being seen frequently in breaking, the quartz down. There is not much change in the inter* mediate level. There is still good mineral in the hangingwall portion of the reef, and gold is seen ireely through it. Stoping is being carried on as usual; the size of the reef varies in thickness from 3 to sft.< Gold is seen in all the stopes when breaking down the quartz. No. 1 winze is down a distance of 70ft, which will be deep enough to meet the No. 3 level. The crushing has not been shaping so well as last month; 80, loads -of quartz were crushed for 135|ozs of amalgam for the week,—H. W. Moobe." DARWIN.

The manager reported yesterday as follows .—" Driving on the reef is being continued. There is a strong body of quartz in the face of the drive ; there is six inches of the hangingwall portion carrying good mineral; which is being saved for crushing. The leading stope is along the required distance, and will start sinking the winze to-night. The contractors for the crosscut at No. 3 level started on Thursday and have driven lift. Will start crushing as soon as can get into the battery.—H. W. Moobe,"

SAXON. The shaft is now down about 39ft below the 4GOft level, the sandstone keeping of a favorable nature. The No. 2 reef has passed out on the northera side of the shaft. Colors of gold are seen in the workings on No. 3 reef. MOANATAIRL The manager to-day banked 37czs melted gold, obtained chiefly from a parcel of picked stone accumulated since last retorting, and crushed at the Herald battery, the company's stampers being hung up,for want of water. . GOLD RETURNS. Little Daniel.—Dunlop and party, who own this claim, Hape creek, a short distance above the Dart, hare crushed 14 loads at the Herald mill for the payable yield of 18ozs gold. Deep Level CBoss.—Eobinson and party have crushed 5 loads for 14ozs ldwt gold. Kubanui Hill.—Thomas and party have obtained 14ozs 2dwts from a parcel of specimens.^ <
