VISIT OF THE NATIVE MINISTER.
The Government steamer Hinemoa, with Messrs Ballance, Native Minister, and Messrs Butler, Lewis, and G. T. Wilkinson, of the Native Department, arrived off the wharf about 4.15 this afternoon, and the party at once landed in boats, and proceeded to the Boyal Hotel. Mr Ballance will receive deputations in connection with various local matters this evening, and to-morrow, we understand, he meets the. Hauraki natives at Parawai. He leaves again for Auckland on Friday morning.
