[Received January 13] Melboubne, This day. Admiral Tryon, who was appointed to the command of the Australian station, is a passenger by the s.s. Indus, which ar rived at Albany yesterday.
Albany. Yesterday. Arrived, this morning, at King Gaorge's Soand : The P. and O. steamship Indus, with the inward Brindisi mails, dated London, December 12.
Sydney, Yesterday. Bishop Selwyn, of Melanesia, who is about to visit visit Europe, has returned here from Brisbane.
The cricket match between Shaw's English Eleven and the New South Wales team, at Woolougong, was concluded on Saturday, and resulted in a victory for the Englishmen.
