This day
A house belonging to Richard Openshaw was burned to the ground this morning. Openshaw did not sleep at home last night, having gone up the rirer on the Waitara, of which he is engineer. The cause of the fire is unknown. Insurance : £200 on the house, and £40 on the furniture. Openshaw is a heavy loser, as he had over £100 in notes in the house.
