Mr Locke, M.H.E., addressed his constituents last night, and urged the impro<»ment of local government; the encouragement of local industries; and, above all, the settlement of Native land difficulties by a Government Consolidating and Amending Bill. Next session should more particularly effect improvements as to subdivision, An unanimous vote of thanks and confidence was passed in the member.
