OUR MINES.
CAMBRIA:
The return of 2720zs lOdwts gold, reported in our last issue, does not, we are pleased to learn, include 105ozs 13dwts gold which was extracted from the specimens in Auckland, and banked there, thus making the total yield from 160 loads general dirt and 500lbs specimens 3780zs 3dwts gold. The general dirt yielded the good return of 210ozs gold, but the amount from the specimens is not satisfactory, and the fact that 66ozs gold were obtained here from the tailings after they had been treated in Auckland, abundantly proves the wortblessness of the mode adopted for saving the precious metal. NEW PRINCE IMPERIAL. The No. 2 reef should come to hand in the crosscut at No. 7 level to-morrow, the formation now in the face being apparently the wall of a lode. DAKT. The battery has been engaged putting through several tributers'parcels, but will start on company's dirt to-morrow. At the mine, the reef in the eastern drive at No. 4 level is being stripped, and will probably not be taken down till next week. GOLD RETURNS. Dakt.—McCollum and party have crushed 1 load for 19ozs 2dwts gold ; and Hard man and party 5 loads for sozs 19dwts gold.
Mo anatairt.—-Harris, and party to day banked loz 9dwts gold.
