[Per Press Association.] Dunedin, Yesterday. The Criterion Stakes Handicap was won by Strenuous. Six others ran. Members' Plate Weltee Handicap, of ICOsovs: Billy, 1; Eubinzahl, 2. Puck and Bluejacket also ran. Consolation : Ike, 1; Molly Bawn, 2. This day. £4379 was put through the totalisator at yesterday's race meeting. During the recent race meeting there was considerable wagering over the Dunedin Cup. July is first favorite at 100 to 12 (off); Lady Emma was yesterday backed for fully £3000, at 100 to 8, and 10 to 1 is now the best offer obtainable ; Captain Webster was taken for a fair sum at 100 to 7, at which price Vanguard and Nonsense also found friends. Several wagers were written on the Auckland and Dunedin Cups at 100 to 3 ; Black Rose and Lady Emma being the favorite picks.
