Wesleyan General Conference.

The Wesleyan Conference yesterday resolved that the next General Conference be held in Melboure in 1888. The revision of the Book of Discipline has been completed, the Conference agreeing to adopt the book now revised as containing the law 9by which the Australasian Wesleyan Methodists are governed, with the understanding that the legislation of the present Conference be inserted therein. The cordial thanks of the Conference was presented to the committee in Melbourne who have had this subject before them during the last three years. The Ret. Martin read the draft of the address of the Conference to the British Conference, in which reference was made to the material progress in New Zealand and Auslralia in connection with foreign missions ; the death of the Her. Benjamin Chapman was referred to, whose office of secretary for mission has been filled by Eev. Dr Kelynack; the establishment of a Ladies' College at Hawthorne, near Melbourne, was a new departure, and under the management of the Rev. Mr Fitchett was rendering good service to the cause.
