Whilst in London he rjgitecj pg t£'e niarkets where colonial produce was on tale, and hap gathered much information
useful to exporters. He visited Samuel Page's establishment, where cheese sent by the Waikato-Cheese Co. and a Christchurch firm were in stock, and said that colonial cheese was much superior to American, and realised 50s to 60s. The best time for cheese to arrive at Home is in December or January, when the market is comparatively bare of American importations. New Zealand butter, he believes, will find a good market at Home, and should arrive between November and March.
