THE PARAWAI WARD.
(To th^ Ip.&to* o$ the Evening Star.) ■ Sia,r-How long will the ratepayers of the Borough sit quietly down and consent to .have their affairs managed by a B&oas insignificant minority. The Fa^avyai Ward has three representatives fora constituency of ten ratep^sa,. They hold the balance of j)o.we2? in the Council, and do not always exercise that power wisely or well. Let the burgesses at once take the necessary
steps to get this little Pedlicgton absorbed into the South Ward, for until this is done the community will continue to suffer from one of the most glaring pieces of tyranny ever foisted upon a free people. In the language of England's great captain I would say, "Up Guards, and at them 1" for the fact of this small minority overriding the whole people is a burden intolerable to bear. —I am, &c , i Katepay.ee.
