It is understood that the report of the North Island Trunk .Railway Committee will not be considered by the House until the East and West Coast (Middle Island) Kailway Bill is disposed of. Arrival of the Doric. Arrived, at daylight : The Doric, from London, via Hobart. She called at Teneriffe, Capetown, and Hobart. The actual steaming time was 41 days 15J hours, and the time for the voyage 47 days 6J hoars. On the 2od September, a second saloon passenger for Auckland, named Albert Greenwood, aged 26, was found missing; he was last seen at 12 o'clock on the previous night, and is bo lieved tp have jumped overboard. No cause is assigned. The Doric has the following passengers :•—For Wellington : 14 saloon, 16 second saloon, 55 steerage, and 17 immigrants; for Lyttelton : 12 saloon, 15 second saloon, 32 steerage, and 19 immigrants ; for Auckland : 26 saloon, 46 second saloon, 60 steerage, aad 42 immigrants j for Otago: 5 saloon, 4 second saloon, 30 steerage, 17 immigrants; for New Plymouth : 1 saloon, 1 second saloon, 8 steerage, and 21 immigrants; for West* port: 1 second saloon; for Tauranga: 1 steerage. Among the passengers are the Hon. J. Martin, Hon J. Buckley, and Hon. W. S. Peters. All the immigrants are single women.
