AUCKLAND.

This day. Supreme Court. The Supreme Court criminal session opened to-day. The Judge, in his charge to the Grand Jury, said there were 30 persons charged with 23 offences, 13 being Maoris who had been committed on four different charges; of the offences, only 7 were from outlying districts, the rest being in the city and subHrbs. Five were offences against the person, and the remainder against property. Two of the offences against the person were murder, one being the infanticide case, and the prisoner in the other being a natire at present detained in the lunatic asylum.
