Borough Elections.

NOMINATIONS. The nominations of members to fill the vacancies caused by the annual retire*, ment of Councillors, as provided by the Act, took place at noon to-day. Mr F. R. G. Woodward, Botuining Officer, presided.

The following is the list of nominations : —

The Returning Officer declared the nominations made, and announced that as the candidates in each ward exceeded the number required, a poll would be taken on Thursday, the 11th of September, from the hours of 9 o'clock a.m. to ■ 6 o'clock p.m.
