County Damage by the Flood.

The County Engineer reported yesterday as follows on the damage done by the recent heavy rates :--"Tapu RoaH* Several severe slips have taken place, completely shutting up the road even for horse traffic. The largest one is at Currail's,; and there are also some bad ones near Way's. It would take two men "ten weeks to clear the road. Waiotahi Biding: A large number of slips have occurred on the various roads, which would occupy five men three weeks to clear. Karaka and Hape Creek Eoads: The recent ilips on these roads would require the work of four men for two weeks to * remove. ' Kauaeranga Biding: A number of I small damages have occurred, which can be repaired by the ordinary men employed in the riding. Parawai Biding; The remarks in respect to the
