Fatal Accidents.

WELLTNaTON, This day.
A fatal aeoident has occurred at Petone rail way workshops. A young.man named Albert James was engaged fixing a driv--ing belt on to a pulley, when he slipped and fell on the pulley, which threw him on to the saw bench head first, a distance of ten jFeet. He was at once, taken to town by- a special train", but died; just before reaching: the .hospitaU He had only recently arrived from England.
Taxteanga, This day. A fatal accident occurred at the town wharf.- A carter named William Kerwin fell down the hatchway of the steamer Wellington. He was picked up insensible, and died shonly after. .
