Sudden Death.

On Saturday evening it was reported to the police that an old man named Robert Adams, who has been on the. field for the past 16 years, had been found dead in his cottage, Franklin street, Block 27. Constable Stapleton was despatched to tbe scene, and entering by a window, found Adams sitting on a chair quite dead. He had evidently been to bed, and got up, as be was partly dressed. The particulars will be found in the following report of the inquest. Adams was a widower, and has for many years past kept a small store on Block 27., He has evidently been of a very saving-disposition, as some months ago he was able to send a large sum of money home to his sister, and his will, which appoints Mr T. Veale executor, is also drawn out in her favor for over £500.
